We will cover the complete printmaking process: creating a sketch, transferring the image onto the material, preparing the paper, printing the edition, and learning the term "burr" (sharp, ragged edges along the lines). You can choose a sketch from the provided options or coordinate and bring your own in advance.

Mini-Course: From "T" to "E" with Tiles
As Wikipedia states, an important technical feature of ceramic tiles is the presence of a rectangular protrusion on the backside - the "rump" - intended for mounting. So, in the spirit of fairness, we will be making relief ceramic tiles for wall cladding, stoves, and fireplaces.
And now, to business:
3 sessions on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM Meeting one (2-3 hours): We'll discuss what we know about tiles and methods of their production, create a clay tile prototype, and make a plaster mold. Then, we'll let the mold set while we head home to study further.
Meeting two (1-2 hours): Using the freshly set plaster molds, we'll make two ceramic tiles using the press molding method and prepare them for firing.
Final session (1-2 hours): We'll discuss what glazes are and how to use them to decorate tiles.
From theory, we'll move on to practice. We'll rejoice as our creations are ready for the second firing.
3 sessions on Tuesdays starting from March 26th All materials, firings, and coatings are included in the price Instructor: Taya Kupivina Cost: 32,000 AMD No special preparation required, just a willingness to learn Bring only yourself and ideas for the shape, size, and decoration Refreshments and good company included Finished products will be stored for up to 1 month, after which they become the property of the workshop.

You can continue working on your projects at coworking spaces for free (within +1 month after course completion) if you run out of time;
Lastly, we'll host a graduation ceremony, hand out certificates, and simply congratulate each other on completing the course.
